In the posts that follow, I’ll be sharing a behind‑the‑scenes look at the thought process behind my book — the message I hoped to convey and why, the moments and events that sparked the storyline, the origins of some of the major characters, and the challenges I ran into as a first‑time author. And more, always more.

This space will be informal. Think of it as the two of us settling into a quiet corner of a bar with our favorite drinks, or warming our hands by a fire on a cold Minneapolis night — and if you’ve lived here, you know we have plenty of those. I want these posts to feel like a conversation, not a lecture.
